Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone (born in New York City, United States, July 6, 1946) is an American actor, director and screenwriter.

 

He has the nickname “Sly”

His middle name is sometimes called “Enzio,” and in the A&E of an actor biography, The Rocky Road to the Top, his mother gave his middle name “Gardenzio.”

He is one of the great legends of success in action action films, including roles in the Rocky and Rambo series.

Stallone is of Russian descent from a Jewish family from his grandmother, but was raised Catholic.
